We hosted my mom's birthday dinner this year (because we have all the space). We had some cheesy ranch chicken, green beans, garlic butter rice, and, of course, cake. This year's cake wasn't as spectacular as last year's chocolate-fest, but I thought it was quite seasonal and lovely. I made a hot chocolate cake with marshmallow buttercream and peppermint (candy cane) and chocolate chip garnish.
