During my last session tonight, the 6 year old younger sister of my client
yelled from outside through the open living room window: "Mommy, Sissy, Ms.
Katie come quick-now!" We all jumped up scared to death, but she just wanted
us to see this! :) and she was right to rush us, because it only lasted 5
mins and then just vanished.

Its definitely a bad sign when you arrive back at your office cubicle at
6:30pm to finish paperwork and you find this under your desk that wasn't
there this morning. I don't screech like a girl about mice or anything, but
I also don't want them running over my open toed shoes while I'm typing a
report either! Ick!

I'm not sure if Kirsten will be able to enlarge this enough so it's visible,
but this is a beautiful picture of my friend O, for which I, unfortunately,
cannot take the credit. I went to see her one woman show tonight, entitled
"What's Love got to do with it?" It made me miss her dearly. We have been
out of touch for the last few months and that distance was my doing. She is
loving, focused, challenging, and she lives a little more on the edge than I
am comfortable doing. I am inspired by her courage, faith and authenticity.
Thanks O!

Today I slept in, met a friend for coffee and talked and texted with Jean. I
did absolutely nothing by way of housework, laundry, grocery shopping or
paperwork for work. What I did chose to do, however, was very satisfying and
made me feel connected and loved and needed. Here is one of the only
pictures that exist of me with my two parents, circa approximately 1982.
Seems random? It's not. :)

I walk past this house every wednesday morning on my way to and from
therapy. I appreciate seeing the beautiful thriving growing things that are
always in the window boxes, especially after my session. If these tulips can
do it, then so can I! And I bet the people living here take VERY good care
of them for them to look so healthy and cheerful. This is also a good
reminder after I've waded through my grief and rage each week.

A couple of my friends and I got together and volunteered a few hours at a
food pantry this morning. It was fun and well organized thanks to Tammy, who
goes by TK, which apparently is the evil twin of me, KT. :-) I had to remind
another member of our crew at least 5 times to send me this damn pic so I
could send it in to our blog, since it was on her camera, so that's what
caused the delay in sending it, and also what got me off track with sending
in my pics everyday...grrrrrr. Unreliable people make me want to slime
them, like they used to do on that show, "You can't do that on television."

Why do my onions and garlic always grow sprouts like this? Do yours? I keep
them unrefrigerated in this basket along with ginger and potatoes on the
shelf underneath the microwave. Does it have something to do with how,
where, or with what other vegetables they are stored? Never used to happen
in my old apartment...
