After an early dental checkup this afternoon I ditched work and went to the
park. It was peaceful and relaxing and I stayed til the bitter end.

Today we started a three-day bus tour of the Scottish highlands (with Haggis
Adventures--HIGHLY recommend them!!) It's my most favorite place in the
world, so far. This is Glen Coe. I just love it... beautiful.

Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it.

Shawn and i checked out a trail we've never been on before for a hike. it's
in El Dorado Canyon, not too far from where we live.

On our way home, the view on the road back to Moab. Perfect weather, tons
of stars, great friends, good beer, lots of laughs, good science... Just a
great weekend all around. Much needed.

Guess where this bird's nest is? I was lucky enough to catch her peeking out
of the hole.

Yea! The 'Dude' replied to my request for the nighttime long-exposure shot
that he took when our group was working at Rio Mesa last October. Thanks,
Buck! Yes, that is his real name...

This is sort of a cheat, but I hope that you will all forgive me and just
enjoy this amazing photo. It was taken
here

Today I drove through Humboldt Redwoods State Park looking for a spot to
leave some more ashes, but I just wasn't feeling it. The weather was gray
and I was out of sorts. I finally found this small creek in the park but, at
the photo shows, it wasn't exactly an awe-inspiring location. Oh well.

Agate Beach, at Patrick's Point State Park in CA. I made it from Seaside all
the way down with no problem. It was a gorgeous day for a drive. I left some
of Neal's ashes down there and picked up a few stones while I was at it.
They had stairs on the path but climbing back up was still a bitch!

Road trip! Taking a long weekend and driving down the coast. I left after
work today and made it to Seaside. This is a cheat: I took it Friday morning
because I didn't get in till late.

Dad came and picked me up so I can see a real doctor tomorrow... after
driving through rain and some "hail" (he says it was hail, I say they were
just big rain drops), we saw about 4 different rainbows in the course of
half an hour. This is one of them that he was able to get a picture with on
his iPhone.

Enjoy my shitty picture of the SUPERMOON. I just walked out on the porch,
took the picture and called it a day.

ROBIN 19/365

Full moon. Actually it's a supermoon They happens every 18 years. This is
the closest the moon has been to earth since 1993.
