New manikin and coffee table donated to us by...J.Crew??

Haha, I am very friendly with all mall employees that come to eat or get
coffee in our store. The manager at J.Crew was "spring cleaning" and said if
we wanted these, they were ours. LOVE the coffee table, I think it was a
display bench for jeans or something. I was reaaaally hoping that the
manikin was a full size because I already had a few AMAZINNG pranks planned
to play on some friends.

Not sure what we'll do with this one but hey, it's kinda cool!

My baby brother Jesse is leaving for bootcamp tomorrow. The baby of the
family, fresh out of high school and headed to bootcamp. Both of my brothers
chose the Marines.
I had to work during the big family send off meal so I drove out to see him
this morning before I had to go to work, knowing I wouldn't get another
chance to see him. Let me put my feelings on this into perspective for you:
I am incredibly proud of my brothers. I have always been pretty close with
them and they have always been there to back me up when I really needed it,
even at times when I wasn't speaking with the rest of my family. My other
brother Jefferson,( also younger), just came back from his first deployment
to Afghanistan, and it's clear to everyone around him how much it affected
him. He has a blank glazed over look in his eyes all the time, and my mom
has told me stories from when he was there that would chill you to the bone.
He lost a dear friend who was deployed elsewhere and his troop was pulled
out from their mission early for reasons I can't say. But it's been really
hard for my whole family to see him like this.
Anyone in my family would tell you I'm the cry-baby of the family. I have
always been pretty emotional and when it comes to those closest to me, I
wear my heart on my sleeve. I was SURE I wouldn't cry saying goodbye to
Jesse. Until I saw him. I couldn't look straight at him because all I could
think of was repeating the same cycle all over again, and my eyes just kept
welling up. I waited until I got in the car to leave to cry.
I don't care how you feel about war, violence, the president, etc. Just
remember that someone's little brothers are out there literally risking
their lives to keep us safe.

So....let me start at the beginning.

Most of you don't know that my bf Rich just got a job as the delivery driver
at my work. It's a long story but basically they fired the guy who was
delivering before and Rich was there to pick up the pieces. We were pretty
excited because this means double the income we already had AND we would
basically be working the same hours which means carpooling and saving on
gas. Sounds like an awesome deal, right??

Well it would have been, except my boss just decided to schedule Rich for
every other shift except delivery. Don't know why or what that is about but
that's what he's been doing. We aren't happy about it, but hey, it's still
double the income so why not just stick it out? Thursday nights at the mall
we work at, they throw "Summer Concerts". Local oldies bands come and play
and the restaurants set up happy hour booths and it's GREAT for the
businesses in the area. It's actually really fun and the bands are awesome.
The only downside to this Thursday, is that Harry Potter was also premiering
this night. AAAAAAND of course I was working the morning shift and Rich was
scheduled to work the closing shift. Our boss told us that we'd be closing
at ten, so I went and hung out with friends and then left for the mall at
1015. ( Rich and I share a car)

Well, shame on me, our boss decided to just stay open until 1 AM. Don't get
me wrong, I understand the obvious upside for the business in this. We were
one of only 3 places open that late, and the only one selling coffee. CHA
CHINGGG. However, there was no warning from the boss to the closers that
they would need to stay for ohhhh...an extra 4 hrs. Here's the kicker: Rich
didn't get done with closing until 2 am and I had to be back to open the
store the next morning at 7 am. Which means I got 3 hrs of sleep. Can you
say ROYALLY PISSED OFF?

And I bet you're wondering how this relates to my photo. I am the head
barista and somewhat anal about how my coffee station looks when I come in
mornings. One thing that bugs me is stocking coffee lids so high that a 5'1"
person, (me), can't reach the top one and instead knocks them all over. My
boss thought it would be "funny" to stack them impossibly high so I had to
actually stand on a stool to take them down without making a mess.

After 3hrs of sleep I was NOT amused.

Got advanced screening tickets FREE from work today. There are certain
perks to working at an uppity pretentious mall after all.....

Another cheat. I know I know......

Rich and his friend/coworker made a "mad-lib" on the dry erase board at
work. Clearly he and his coworkers are always hard at work, aka standing
around filling it in. ;)

I would post the end result but it's not exactly appropriate for the world
wide web....

Went shopping at Kohl's with Kirsten and the kids and Bailey wanted me to
take a picture of her zombie face :) Looks pretty good to me!

Side note: We kicked butt shopping and Kirsten got some really cute stuff
for her trip!

This is a cheat because I didn't take a photo for this day..

Hosted a Pampered Chef catalog show and was pretty excited to get a little
free money to spend.. and THEN I got this gift certificate in the mail from
Rich's mom. SCORE! I GUESS I'll just have to do some more shopping :p

I'm baaaack! Sorry I've been out of the loop so long. Haven't had a camera
for awhile, but I just switched phone companies and got a new smartphone :-)
With a decent camera! So, im back on the bandwagon. Just gonna start up with
the current day, if that's okay with you guys!

I found this coffee cup at Target today, and just thought to myself:
Right?!?!?!
:-)

I between you're thinking....what's so special about a splenda packet?
Well, nothing.

Unless.......its sealed with nothing in it!!!! Haha how weird, I've never
seen that before.

Gorgeous roses and fresh coffee is what I woke up to this morning! :) Today
marks four years with the love of my life. We've been through so much
together, and I couldn't be happier with where we are at right now.

Spring cleaning......soooo close to being done! Here's a pile of what we
are getting rid of. Less clutter, more organization! Feels niiiice.

Shirt organizer really lightens my closet! :) Now Rich can fit all of his
clothes!

Samantha 52/365

Dexter's first bath! He did not enjoy the brushing afterwards...

An old roommate of ours left this with us when he moved out of our old
house, so we have it on the wall above the desk in our living area. Every
once in awhile I just stare at it because it's a pretty cool painting. His
mom painted it!

My adorable little niece Madilynn. She figured out the camera on my phone,
handed it to me and said," cheeese". Had to take it.

More organization. Been wanting a little shoe rack to go next to the front
door since we moved in. Finally, yesss! And it was only 10 bucks!
