Despite my slacking over the past few months, I have enjoyed participating in P.S. Thank you for welcoming me into this project and sharing with me. I will continue to follow, just not as a participant. Farewell all!

I blew through these (no pun intended) in a day. After two boxes of tissues (and a roll of toliet paper when I temporarily ran out), two bags of cough drops, multiple doses of Airborne, echinacea, and ibuprofen, and a few borderline-traumatic experiences with Sinex, I am overjoyed to just feel normal again. Yay!

Ox roast: it's what's for dinner. It's a regional dish that is not really ox and not really roasted. Go figure.

Every year our next-door neighbor drops off a plate of homemade cookies. The cookies I make never look like this.

Novice gardener that I am, I neglected to check my carrots. I pulled out several today and thought this one was kind of cute. Looks like the smaller carrot is hugging the larger one.

This has been the only item in our garage beside our vehicles but it will be gone soon. This is an engine my husband is selling. It's been his dream to build this engine, but he's selling it so we can move on out of here sometime soon. I've never asked or wanted him to sell it, because I like seeing him happy. But he feels it's the responsible, prudent thing to do so it's going.

We drove to Pittsburgh to have dinner with family. My uncle and his family drove in from out of state and treated everyone (all 16 of us) to dinner at a swank Japaenese hibachi steakhouse. I was initially concerned that driving in a congested area on Black Friday would have been a nightmare. But everything worked out and it turned out to be a grand affair. This picture does not do the night justice, but I was enjoying myself so much that I almost forgot to get a picture in. I left feeling very loved and incredibly homesick.
