I just found out yesterday (!) that my family will be driving in and spending the weekend at our house. I had invited them some time ago but knew it was a long shot between everyone's work, school, and acticities schedules. All the planets must have aligned to allow this to happen, because somehow it worked out that everyone in my immediate family can make it. We're not a large family, but we're far enough apart that we usually gather only a few times a year. After frantically cleaning the house and shopping, the last on the to-do list was to build this little fire pit. Bring on the weenies and the beer!
