Yes, that is a gold star.... Yes, I'm in law school.
Apparently our teacher felt so bad about how awful our first memos were that
he gave us all gold stars on our citation "tests" (they don't actually count
for a grade, but he told us the gold star could possibly be shown to a
bartender who, if they were an out of work lawyer or a law student, would
probably cause them to take pity on us and give us a free beer).
