Pre-Palooza preparations. We took up the entire second floor of one of the
academic buildings to pre-assemble our Civil War kiosks for the outdoor
museum. When this is all put together, it's going to be completely
awesome!!!!
(This is for the 150th Anniversary of the Recruiting Elm on my campus. After
Lincoln issued the call for volunteers, some students on campus at the time
assembled under an elm tree which has since died and formed a troop -
Company G of the 17th Illinois Infantry. This Commemoration, or "Civil War
Palooza" as it has been called around campus is one of only 3 taking place
at a college campus this weekend and ours is unique because we are telling
"our story.")
