There is a new scene emerging in the spoken word world called story tellers.
These performers have 5 minutes to tell a story (mostly pre written) about a
set category, like sci-fi fiction and so on. I can't remember this mans
name, but He told a sort of beautiful story about Humans finding something
extra terrestrial coming towards earth. All of the worlds wars are ended as
the human race, for the first time in it's infantile history, join forces to
take down a shared enemy. In the end the human race is wiped out, but not
after throwing every weapon in it's arsenal at the "swarm".

I was introduced to this form of spoken word at the Slam poets Vs Story
tellers slam. (of course my man crush from 22/365 won).
