It's really just thinly-sliced roast beef. Most eat it on a hamburger bun as a sandwich. I believe nearby areas in NY call it beef-on-wick, which is, IMO, an even weirder name. At least the thought of eating an ox sounds better than consuming a wick of any kind.
BTW this came from the local butcher shop so I trust the ingredients. I like to support small/local businesses, but wow, there is such a weird smell there.

Ha! That's what I was going to ask? I mean, obviously it's beef (if I can trust the ingredients). What do you do with it?
