Three interesting parts of my day:

Top: Rachel and I went to Ikea to get the fixings for our new home, this
was our total (for the first trip) but I couldn't find something else to
buy worth .06 cents. Even if it wasn't perfect (and what ever really is?)
the best man and I thought it was pretty neat.

Left: As it turns out, our new landlord works for a Candy company! When the
landlord came over to fix a leaking problem with the sink, the first thing
he did when I opened the door was present me with this candy. My question:
Is this to door candy delivery service part of the rent?

Right: After several hours of waiting and sitting/laying on the floor, our
furniture finally arrived at 9:30pm! A lot went into selecting this couch,
with the best man having significant input of course, but putting Handy
Mandy to shame, Rachel put this sucker together mostly by herself! Meet our
new couch, Teddy!

First, Ikea may have some deals, but nothing which would cost only six cents. And you're right, nothing really is perfect.

Second, at least the candy is from the landlord and not a stranger.

Third, the couch looks great. Like the mocha color. I'm sure Ikea has given it some weird Swedish name. How much assembly does a couch require, though?

The couch came in three pieces - the two arm rests were separate and had to be screwed on.

The official color is "Dansbo medium brown - Tidafors Sofa"
