Met up with one of my friends from college today to do a day trip around Chicago. We ended up bouncing back and forth across the city the whole day, but it was totally worth it. We tried two rester aunts that we had heard of care of Food Network, went to the Shedd Aquarium, and also stopped by a bookstore called Bucket O Blood.
This picture was at brunch at The Bleeding Heart Cafe and Bakery. O.M.G. I'm definitely not a vegan, but my Vegan S'mores pancakes were absolutely delicious. The homemade marshmallow creme tastes like ice cream. And to counterbalance the veganness of it, we shared some candied maple bacon. Which was also delicious. Our new goal is to go back until we've sampled everything on the brunch menu. :)

Had no idea what this was until I read the caption. I would have guessed dessert. Without a second guess.
LOVE Chicago! Sounds like you had fun. Love the aquarium, too. Those pancakes look amazing.
Lol. It was DELICIOUS!!! And I like the aquarium too. We didn't plan on spending a ton of time there so we just did the basic package, but it was still fun :)
