OK, this one stings a little. My BFF Laurie emailed this to me. It was taken in April 2010, when Neal & I went to visit her in Annapolis to celebrate the Ides of Meatloaf (our made-up holiday - some of you might remember.) It wasn't even two years ago but it seems like a hundred. So hard to imagine that two months later he would be diagnosed with stage IV melanoma. In six months, he would be dead.

It's funny, all I can see in his face is exhaustion. he was already getting really tired really easily by then, we just didn't know why...
I agree--such a cute photo (being that I can't see the exhaustion that you see because you knew him so well), but so hard to believe looking at this that he was gone so quickly after that. Hugs to you.
