I started cleaning my fish tank today only to reattach the filter and find
it leaking. After having a mild panic attack from the possibility of having
to buy another filter ($150+) and/or having 36 gallons of water on the
floor I figured out the O rings are going out. A little Vaseline, plumbers
tape and some black electrical tape fixed the problem until I can get some
replacement parts. Times like these I'm really glad I worked in a pet store
that specialized in fish tanks for 5.5 years. :)

Your past experience sure came in handy and saved a lot of money. I think spending $150 on a filter could induce a panic attack in anyone.
Aha! Now I know who to call with my aquarium woes. :)
