Somedays, I’m lucky enough to go back to the school where I spent 10 years of my life teaching science in the tiny little tourist town of Escalante. It’s great to get back and talk with old friends and catch up.This is the gas station across the street from the school. I don’t know how much money I’ve spent here getting drinks, snacks, sandwiches - whatever - during my time here and when I come back to work. I just got some refreshments when I was working in town just before Christmas break, and now it’s boarded up…Makes me sad.
