ROBIN 154/365

My mother was a quilter. She died in 1995 and I inhereted her sewing chest
even though I can barely sew a button. I bought that funny little pin
cushion for her at a school fair when I was in third grade. I know there are
at least 20 or 30 needles lost inside of it. I was always surprised (and
secretely very glad) that she kept it all those years. (We had a tempestuous
relationship at best.) She would have been 89 this month and I'm sorry she
didn't get to live longer.

omg i love it! i think i could even manage sewing one heheh

i love it when a parent keeps a gift their child gives them. a true sign of love.

my mother kept nothing, she saw it all as clutter. my father kept everything till he lost it all in a fire. i ended up giving nothing to my mother as i grew older, i knew she'd not appreciate it. i'm glad your mother kept the voodoo needle dolly.
