This was the start of a very long day... Workers showed up at the house and chose to use the wall right by my bedroom to lift all their equipment to the roof and hammer around and make entirely too much noise for someone with a headache to have to endure. Then, when they left, they left the back door to the alley open, leaving my house unsecured until I had the insight to double check that it was locked... Then because it had been open for hours and I was spending the night alone, I essentially panicked and ended up staying awake until the wee hours of Saturday morning.

Wow. That is sort of scary. I would have stayed awake too.
