All of this melting snow and rain has caused an issue that we were going to
take care of this spring to come to a head. We have not just one, but TWO
problems that is allowing water to seep into our bedroom and my closet
specifically.
The picture shows what was causing one of the problems - a couple of rubber
balls, along with some christmas light plugs, other junk and a LOT of
gravel and dirt clogging up our rain gutter downspout. Problem #2 will
require a crew and a Bobcat to properly address.
I spent a good 2 hours with the Shop Vac sucking up about 10 gallons of
water. Thankfully we could rent an industrial floor-drying fan to speed up
the drying process, but it still took 3 days or so to get it all the way
dry.

How did that stuff get in there?
I'm guessing the kids that lived here before us. I don't think that our Chili dog would waste balls in the gutter...
