Scary day today. We were headed north to spend Christmas with my Pop and
his side of the family and about 20 miles north of home, a semi truck
driver decided to take a little nap and let his truck drift into my lane as
we were passing him. The lug nuts on his sterring tires ground up our rear
passenger door, my tire and rim, and even disconnected the axle from the
unibody.

We did a full 360 on the Interstate, and I don't know how I avoided hitting
the semi trailer, flipping the car, or how anyone else on the road did not
play bumper cars with us. Not an airbag fired, and we all walked away
without a scratch - it just scarred the HELL out of us. Several nice folks
stopped to see if we were alright. This gave us a whole new perspective on
what to be thankful for this time of year.
