In 4 years of doing this, this is easily the scariest photo I've ever had
to post. We left early this morning to head north to spend Christmas with
C's family. About 20 miles from home, we were passing a semi when the
driver of the truck fell asleep and drifted into our lane--caught the side
of the car and then hit the back passenger side. We spun around backwards,
skidded for awhile, then got turned the right way again before we skidded
off the road. Amazingly, all four of us (mutts included) are totally fine
aside from a few aches and pains and emotional trauma. Three hours after
this, we re-loaded into my car and made the drive safely. Seriously a ton
to be thankful for this year.

Thanks everyone. Considering everything that COULD have happened, we were super lucky. It was a rough but effective way to be reminded not to take things for granted!!
Kristen, I'm glad that I was able to avoid the 'shitting myself' and rolling the car. Very scary few seconds - SO thankful that we are all OK.
