Baseline - My desk
To start out with, I thought that I'd create a sort of baseline for you all
so that you know what I spend a majority of my time looking at, so that when
I highlight new/different/unique things with you on the days to come, you
have some context as to what is the norm.
This is my desk at work. You can gauge a lot of my personality and life from
this single image. You can see all of my Apple gear (laptop, keyboard,
mouse, mouse pad, iPod) front and center. You can see the computer that I've
used to send almost 10,000 emails this last year or so. I should have
included the keys to my work car that I have driven about 16,000 miles in
the past 7 months. I would have included my phone in the photo, but it was
used to take the image...
You can also play a pretty good game of 'Where's Waldo' in this view, but a
better title for this game would be "Where's Einstein?" Can you find the
following:
- Einstein Action Figure?
- The photo of my fantastic wife Jean?
- Tin of Altoids?
- The best damn coffee mug in the world?
- Emergency bags of coffee?
- Utah Middle School Science Teacher of the Year award?
- My stress-relieving Think Geek
BuckeyBalls
?
- A snake?
The list could go on and on - create your own play-at-home version!
Oooo! A game!
